College of Congregational Development (CCD)

The College of Congregational Development (CCD) is a program designed to equip lay and clergy leaders to nurture faithful, healthy, and sustainable congregations. Grounded in our call to proclaim the Gospel and serve our communities, CCD offers practical tools and collaborative learning to strengthen congregational life.

Launched in the Episcopal Church in Southeast Florida

In July 2025, our diocese launched CCD, joining a growing network of dioceses across the wider Episcopal Church who are committed to building vibrant congregations for the future. Participants from our diocese and beyond gathered for the inaugural session, beginning a shared journey of learning, growth, and discernment together.

What Participants Experience

  • Leadership Development: Training to empower lay and clergy leaders to guide their congregations with vision and confidence.

  • Strategic Tools: Skills in planning, team-building, conflict transformation, and organizational development.

  • Spiritual Formation: Opportunities to deepen faith and strengthen relationships with God and one another.

  • Community of Practice: A supportive network of peers across the diocese committed to mutual learning and encouragement.

Our Vision

We believe that God is calling us to be communities rooted in love, justice, and hope. Through the College of Congregational Development, we are investing in the future of our Church by equipping leaders to build strong, Spirit-filled congregations that embody Christ’s transforming love in the world.

Join Us

The next CCD cohort will begin in June 2026. We invite lay and clergy leaders to prayerfully consider participating. Together, we can strengthen our churches and share God’s love more fully in the communities we serve.
