Build Them Up
"Build them up" is part of our diocesan vision, and education—equipping persons of all ages to respond to God's call in their lives—is an essential part of the ministry of the Diocese of Southeast Florida.
Two Episcopal secondary schools, Palmer Trinity in Miami and Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, and many congregations with pre-schools or day schools offer academic excellence and the experience of Christian community in a specifically Episcopal context for children and youth of our churches and our diverse communities.
A Wide Variety of Educational Programs & Training Are Available
The Diocesan School for Christian Studies offers a wide variety of educational programs and training for service in the church and in society. The school also provides the academic preparation for persons aspiring to the diaconate.
A diocesan Commission on Christian Formation and Education provides training for teachers and leaders in such Christian Education programs as Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Godly Play and Faith Is Caught. The Education for Ministry (EfM) and Disciples of Christ in Community (DOCC) programs for continuing spiritual growth for adults are offered in various locations in the diocese.
