In previous years the celebration has been held at one of the churches with Hispanic congregations, but this year the host congregation, St. James-in-Hills, Hollywood, decided to bring the celebration to the community.

Sunday afternoon beach-goers, rollerbladers, street people and kids on bicycles and scooters stopped to hear the music and watch the dancing, and were reminded frequently that the fiesta was sponsored by "las iglesias episcopales".

Jennifer and Catherine Zelaya of St. J
James-in-the-Hills performed a Bolivian dance.

Dancers from Estampa de Columbia displayed the different costumes and
styles of dance from the different regions of that country.

Children from the Sunday School of San Francisco de Asis,
Hialeah/Miami Lakes, danced to the popular "Mambo No. 5".

Both Bishop Frade and Bishop Said were on hand to welcome the crowd. Here Bishop Frade
waits with Fr. Frank Muñoz of All Angels, Miami Springs, (left) and Fr. Ramon Aymerich of
St. James-in-the-Hills, Hollywood, (right) for the fiesta to begin.
