"Celebrating Our New Ministries" was the theme of our 31st Diocesan Convention, held October 19-21 at the Westin Hotel in north Ft. Lauderdale.

This year, in addition to the usual convention actions and events, the Conference, a series of 45 workshops on a wide variety of topics, offered an opportunity for non-delegates to participate in the annual gathering.

Bishop Frade’s first convention address, the participation of youth, elections and resolutions, the Convention Eucharist at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Pompano Beach, the dinner and dance, a Clown Eucharist and the workshops were some of the aspects of Convention 2000 highlighted here.

A complete Convention/Conference report will be provided in a special Convention issue of The Net next month.
