The Convention Eucharist

An exhibit hall at the Merchandise Mart adjacent to the Radisson was transformed into the worship space for the Friday night Convention Eucharist. Worshipers were seated at round tables surrounding an altar on a platform in the center of the room, and a priest at each table con-celebrated with Bishop Leo Frade, as did Assistant Bishop James Ottley, the guest preacher, Bishop Henry Louttit of Georgia, and Bishop Drexel Gomez of Nassau and the Bahamas.


Deacon Jane Calderin lights the candle for a table in preparation for the service.	Each table had its own set of ceramic Eucharistic vessels, designed for Convention.

Acolytes from Christ Church, Miami, lead the procession, followed by banners from many parishes.
